‘More than a third of buildings fail to meet Fire safety standards’
This was the finding of an audit carried out by North Yorkshire Fire Service. 38% of 1100 public buildings checked, including Care Homes/Hospitals/Schools and shops, were unsatisfactory.
Does your premises need assessing?
We carry out over 200 assessments a month for all types of businesses and their buildings. Our Leeds based assessor is our most senior inspector. With 28 years in the Fire and Rescue service as well as 15 years completing Fire risk assessments. If you’re unsure if you need a Fire risk assessment, please give us a call and we would be more than happy to help.
We don’t sell equipment or servicing and in the office we have over 10 years experience dealing with questions and checking through reports, which means we can usually answer queries with the first phone call. We won’t try and book a Fire risk assessment with you if you don’t require one. When or if you do wish to book, most appointments can be made within 7-10 days. The report is generally ready within 2 days of the assessment, we dispatch documents by email, therefore service can be relatively quick.
Don’t forget your Logbook
It is important for both the Fire Authority and also for yourselves that you record your Fire safety checks and training/drills if required. It helps you to ensure that areas aren’t missed and the checks are regular. This means that any damaged/failed/worn equipment is quickly highlighted and you can take immediate action. We send out a Logbook with every Fire risk assessment, to help keep you on track.
